Upon entering an Orthodox church, it is customary to light candles and offer prayers for one’s personal needs or that of a family member or friend. When lighting a candle in Church the faithful usually make a small offering to the Church. When we light a candle, it helps us remember that Jesus is the light of the world.

Submit any names to be read both at the Prothesis (Preparation) and at the Paraklisis services. Also please submit any other prayers that you wish.

There are multiple donation amounts per candle so you can give as generously as you feel
